Hi, found this site plugged on her wikipedia page.

I saw that note about connecting with The Mountain Goat member by seeing the note on the wall at the Portland, Oregon show she played. (I hope she doesn't play for a much shorter time than them on the next tour. The two hour sets were amazing this year.)

I happened to record that show on video and you wouldn't know by her performance that she was sick. Great show. Kaki deserves to be taped more. I think anyone that sees her, walks ...

Song in Shawn Johnson's Olympic Floor Routine?

Tonight at the gymnastics part, the beginning of the song in Shawn Johnson's floor routine sounded very much like a Kaki King song; I can't remember what song it was, but did anyone else catch this, and was it really her song or was I just hearing things?

EDIT: It's Bari Improv, from August Rush, which I think she played?

it's kaki playing on the carson daly show in May 5, 2005. (it's pretty much just without the singing but is substituted by a harplike instrument... ) i personally hadn't seen this back then, but hey. any kaki footage is worth sharing. (it's very very short, though.)

So I have heard several different things about Kaki's involvement with the film, and I was wondering if someone could clear this up for me? I heard that she played some of the songs for the soundtrack, wrote some of the songs, and did August's fingers playing the guitar when the camera was not focused on his face. On IMDB she is credited for writing Bari Improv, and for performing that and Ritual Dance, but is that just on the soundtrack? Or are those her hands playing? Or what?

Have any of you ever heard of the Day Sleeper EP?

I've got it form <source withheld>, but I'm a little confused about it. It's apparently from a show in Australia where Kaki King opened fro Teagon and Sara, and somehow it's connected to the artist Day Sleeper. Anyway, the EP consists of the same tracks played at the show, and all 6 of the untitled songs are awesome.

..so just a weird random experience i had. I was in chemistry and we were watching this movie of melting glaciers in Peru and the whole global warming thing....and when they did this montage of mountains and running water guess what song came on? "open mouth". lol. immediately smiled and started to text my friends. i was so happy. it was an MSNBC story. i was impressed.
